As a member of the Conference of Allegheny Providers (CAP), PLEA was able to participate in the 3rd Annual CAPitol Day, May 1st.
We were able to meet and talk directly with several legislators from our area about issues that are important to us as human service providers. In particular, we advocated for increased funds in our state budget so we can provide a living wage for those who provide necessary services to those in need.
Here are some pictures of our trip including the meetings with 2 state representatives, Dan Deasy and Bud Cook, and the rally we participated in held on the steps of the Capitol where Rep. Dan Miller, Rep. Aaron Kaufer and Sen. Camera Bartolotta all spoke of the importance of supporting those who work in the human service field!
