As of 11/13/2020, Allegheny County has been designated as having “Substantial Community Transmission” This situation will be closely monitored moving forward.
Per the letter sent home to families on 11/24:
If Allegheny County continues to be designated as having “Substantial Community Transmission” for the week of 11/23, we will extend our remote learning instructional model beyond the week of 11/30 for as long as necessary to align with recommendations from the Pennsylvania Department of Education with input from other entities as appropriate.
Families should continue to review resources made available through this page as well as from their home school districts, Allegheny County, and the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
In order to re-open safely, PLEA has developed, in collaboration with important stakeholders, other schools, and public health officials, a set of practical and well-informed guidelines and protocols. You can download the current draft versions via the PDF forms below.
Return to in person instruction will utilize a hybrid model and following the Health and Safety protocols in this plan.
